This beautiful Blue Lace Agate specimen features soft blue and white banding with the delicate, lace-like patterns the stone is known for. Smooth and substantial, this piece is a nice hand-sized specimen, making it ideal for display, study, or simply appreciating the natural patterns formed over millions of years.
Blue Lace Agate is a variety of chalcedony within the quartz family. The material in this specimen comes from Namibia, where the chalcedony veins formed through hydrothermal deposition within large fractures of the Karoo Whitehill Formation. These fractures were created by a regional fault that runs through the area, allowing silica-rich fluids to move through the rock and slowly crystallize into finely banded agate.
Each specimen is completely natural and unique in color, banding, and shape. You will receive the exact item pictured, ensuring there are no surprises when it arrives.
