Mosasaurs are large, extinct marine reptiles from the Late Cretaceous period, which include the Plateycarpus and the Prognathnodon. Their fossil remains were first discovered in a limestone quarry in 1764 at Maastricht on the Meuse. They belong to the order Squamata, which is the largest order of reptiles.
Own a piece of history with a Mosasaur tooth fossil that is 1-2 inches long! These teeth are millions of years old and may show evidence of wear and imperfections including missing enamel or feeding wear.
This listing is for 1 tooth. Pictures are representative of what you will receive. Each specimen is unique, so there might be small variations.
Add a small floating display case as featured in the last photo for an additional $4.95.
