Own a piece of prehistoric marine life with an authentic Goniatite fossil from Morocco. Goniatites were extinct marine cephalopods that lived approximately 390–252 million years ago, long before the dinosaurs. Like modern nautiluses, ammonites, and squid, they belonged to the mollusk family and lived in coiled, chambered shells.

Although they closely resemble ammonites, goniatites are older and have much simpler shell sutures—the intricate lines where the internal walls met the outer shell. Goniatites feature smooth, gently curved sutures, while ammonites evolved more complex, highly folded patterns millions of years later.

These fascinating fossils are popular with collectors, educators, and anyone interested in Earth's ancient oceans. Each specimen is a genuine fossil, making it a unique addition to any fossil collection, classroom, or display.

Features:

  • Authentic Goniatite fossil
  • Collected in Morocco
  • Approximately 390–252 million years old (Devonian–Permian)
  • Ancient relative of ammonites, nautiluses, and squid
  • Great for fossil collections, gifts, classrooms, and educational displays

Please Note: Photos are representative of the item you will receive. Each Goniatite fossil is unique, so natural variations in size, shape, color, and pattern should be expected.
