Apache Tears are obsidian pebbles comprised of dark, volcanic glass. According to legend, Apache warriors jumped to their death near Superior, Arizona in 1875 rather than being captured by US soldiers. Their families wept following their deaths, and their tears formed Apache Tears as they hit the ground. They are believed to bring good luck when carried and are associated with healing during times of grief and emotional crisis.
