This listing is for a Carcharodontosaurus tooth from Morocco that is nearly 2.5 inches long. This genuine fossil is a remarkable piece of prehistoric history from one of the largest carnivorous dinosaurs ever discovered.
Carcharodontosaurus is a genus of massive theropod dinosaur that lived during the Cenomanian age of the Late Cretaceous Epoch in what is now Northern Africa. There are two known species, both among the largest known land predators—rivaling or even exceeding Tyrannosaurus, Spinosaurus, and Giganotosaurus in size.
Its name, meaning “shark-toothed lizard,” comes from the distinctive serrated edges of its teeth, designed for tearing through flesh. These fossils provide a fascinating glimpse into the ancient ecosystems of the Sahara, where Carcharodontosaurus once ruled as an apex predator about 95 million years ago.
A stunning fossil from one of prehistory’s mightiest predators—an impressive addition to any dinosaur or fossil collection.
