Tethysaurus is an extinct marine reptile from the Cretaceous period named after Tethys, the Greek goddess of the sea. It represents a transitional species between more primitive mosasaurs and later species. Tethysaurus fossils are rare, so this is an incredible specimen! As it fossilized, some of the bones shifted. The matrix slab is approximately 3 feet long! You will receive the item pictured in this listing.
