Check out the detail on these Cornuproetus Cornutus trilobite fossils! These beautifully preserved specimens feature the characteristic head shield (cephalon) and genal spines. Trilobites are extinct marine arthropods that lived during the Paleozoic era. They look like hard-shelled insects, but they were more like crustaceans. These fossils date back approximately 400 million years and come from Morocco.
